Chariots (車) drawn up along the raised ground (阜, 阝 on the left) — a battle array. 車 carries the sound, worn far from chē to zhèn over the centuries. From troops in formation: 軍陣, 對陣; and a "formation" of weather becomes a 陣雨 — a burst of rain.
