A cloth draped over a line (the top), one cord hanging straight down (the middle stroke) to fasten it at the waist. The original was a kerchief carried at the belt. From it, every wiping cloth: 毛巾、手巾、圍巾. It seeds the cloth radical across 帶、帽、布.
